GDPR! Are we ready.....are you any body ready??

This has to be the most used four letters of this decade! Everyone is receiving emails and letters and if you have not been bombarded with this information and requests for permission then you literally must be living under a rock or a cave!

So what is GDPR? Its a way to ensure that there is accountability for what companies (no matter the size or type of business) do with your information!  Its is meant to stop spamming emails (it wont) and it is meant to stop issues like the selling or sharing or peoples personal details to third parties.  It is also to ensure companies are storing details safely and are understanding the requirements for security within their business so bank details and other useful information to criminals is not accessible (this is hard when it comes to real life hacker extraordinaires who can access larger organisations but all businesses can try to stop it as best they can)

It means companies can be fined if they are found to be breaching the regulations and it means that companies have to obtain CLEAR consent and provide a privacy statement.  It also importantly gives customers the right to ask for their data to be deleted.  The reason you wil be receiving so many emails and letters is because companies are not sure that they have received CLEAR consent from everyone on their list so the easiest thing to do is to get everyone to rejoin or reconsent so they know they have done it! (I think lol)

We want to that if you are looking for our privacy policy that you can find it! So here it is below in this blog but it can be found at checkout stage too as this provides you with all the information you need to know about what happens to your data!

Also do not forget if you want to receive emails from us when checking out you need to OPT in now and not OPT out !  We do not send spam and we try and send interesting and informative content so it helps you!
